Daycare Birthday Party!

Tripp's birthday landed on a Friday which means - Daycare Party!

Alice gets a cake and a present for the birthday kid and Tripp was ready! All week he had been home sick with a virus. As he began to feel better, he would say :" I wanna go see Alice & my friends.....it's my birthday mama"

So we were al happy when his fever broke and he was ready to head back to daycare in time for his birthday.

I arrived at 4pm and he was still sleeping!

Alice shows Tripp his birthday cake

(these cakes rock! They have the best frosting!)

He blew them all out on the first try!

Everyone pitched in to make his birthday special:

When we got home, I spent the rest of the night staring at his hair. He had his 1st haircut scheduled for the next morning.

Fiddler on the Roof

It's been awhile...and I've been super busy with the school play! This year I got suckered back into the Drama Club due to their season selection - Fiddler on the Roof.
I just couldn't resist and the kids are great!
I am the scenic advisor. This means that I help guide and mentor the student
designer and paint crew.

One night, I had to bring Tripp up to rehearsal with me.
The kids were just as excited to meet him as he was to be there!

Chillin with some run crew girls

he had fun playing hide and seek in the bed for the Frumasera scene.
(Grandma Sital pops up from the middle of the bed)

Watching some dancing from back stage

Then it was time to run the show and Tripp & I went to hang in the auditorium.
Chatting with one of the spot ops

He developed a little crush on the red head cello player
(he kept running up to her an saying Hi!)

He loved it! He kept saying "Big kids, sing & dance!"
...he also got a kick out of yelling towards the stage after the
director yelled some directions to the actors - everyone got a good laugh :-)

(This pic is pre-beards; they arrived in time for the final dress rehearsal)

Tripp & Chris (another club advisor) discussing the show.

Tripp was not scared of the Frumasera scene - but he was a bit concerned and kept saying
"too big! Scary ghost, too big!"

We left after this scene. Tripp passed out in the car, but woke right up to tell his Dada all about his experience with the "big kids, sing & dance!"
